Project 3

Ground Magnetic Data Processing & Interpretation for various concessions in DR Congo & Uganda

Country: DR Congo & Uganda
Region: Central Africa
Period: 2019-2020
Commodity: Base Metal, Cassiterite, Nickel, Cobalt etc.
In this program Capstone’s capabilities in geophysical data processing & experience in interpretations has been utilized to evaluate a number of concessions bearing Gold, Copper & Base Metals, Nickel etc in a bid to target prospective mineralization zones for further ground-based exploration planning. The study entailed the following scope,
Review of the geological maps of the area.
Data processing & Quality check of input ground magnetic data & removal of noise.
Generate ground magnetic anomaly map.
Generate interpretative maps for magnetic anomaly data such as RTP, Analytical Signal, Tilt Derivative, Upward continuation maps, Euler solutions
Generate profiles across anomaly zones.
Interpret structural framework of the survey location.
Data acquired by clients inhouse team has been assessed complying with the scope of work. A cumulative of 04 large concessions covering about 133 sq. km. of area in DRC and 02 concessions covering 46 sq. km. in Uganda were evaluated in the program. The results assisted in delineation of targets for detailed geophysical prospecting, geochemical sampling & subsequent drilling exploration programs.
